- locomotion/gait analysis.
We also appreciate psychological, cultural and social factors influencing your own role in helping your recover.
Referrals are accepted from consultants, GPs, Minor Injury Unit staff and other health professionals.
Patients referred on an urgent basis, for example, after a fracture, are contacted by phone and seen within three working days of referral. All other patients will receive a letter from the department letting them know a referral has been made and inform them of current waiting times.
Patients are written to again when appointments become available and will be asked to book a stuiable date and time. The team work hard to ensure no patient is kept waiting more than four weeks for treatment.
Patients unable to attend the department and suitable for home treatment are referred to the community physiotherapy team at Swanage Health Centre.
