Rehabilitation

The environment on a rehabilitation ward is generally less hectic and more relaxed than an acute ward. We promote a friendly environment and focus on the positive.

Rehabilitation enables patients to achieve their optimum level of self-care and independence. You will be encouraged to do as much for yourself as you are able with support form the ward team.

A usual stay is an average of three weeks. This varies according to your individual needs and your plans for the future.

When you no longer need hospital care your discharge will take place as soon as it is possible to do so.

The ward has seven medical beds. There is a four bed bay and three single rooms for the use of local GPs who look after their own patients and do not require specialist input. This works very well and patients appreciate the fact that they can get inpatient treatment in a friendly, relaxed atmosphere and also be nearer their relatives.
