Mobility and foot pain
This service aims to improve walking and mobility and reduce pain in joints and muscles in the lower limb.
The treatments include
- special exercises for muscles
- ready-made orthotics (insoles)
- specially-made orthotics
- general advice
you will usually have one assessment visit with treatment. Any specialist orthotics required can be sent to you by post
Eligibility
The service is for patients who are over 16 years of age with painful and unresolved biomechanical problems of the foot.
The types of conditions include:
- digital deformity
- achilles problems
- heel pain
- tailors' bunion
- arch pain
- muscular pain
- arthritis
- plantar digital Neuroma
- plantar Fasciitis
- hallux Valgus
- hallux Limitus
- metarsalgia
Accessing the service
You will need GP or health professional referral to be considered for the treatment.
