Childrens Centres
Children’s Centres.
Children's Centres aim to give all children the best possible start in life and enable parents to support their child and family. They act as a central point where families can access information and a range of services.
Activities are generally aimed at 0-5 year olds but occasionally suit older children too. If you live close to a border you may find activities out of county including Bournemouth and Poole.

Information for Parents through the Family Information Service
The Family Information Service (FIS) can provide you with impartial and accurate information and advice on childcare, family activities and family support. This is in line with section 12 of the Childcare Act 2006 which puts a duty on all local authorities 'to provide information to the public on childcare and related services' and 'information which parents may need to support their children through to their 20th birthday'
