Have your say about local services

Have you ever wanted to speak up about a health or social care service in your area but not known how?  It might have been to offer an opinion on how things could be improved, or talk about an experience – good or bad. Well, now you have the opportunity.

Your LINk (Local Involvement Network) is a network of local people and groups, made up of your family, friends, neighbours and colleagues – all members of your community who want to make a difference.

It listens to what people like you have to say about health and social care services in your area and tells councils and the NHS what it has discovered. They are then legally obliged to give the LINk any information it asks for and to respond to any recommendations the LINk makes, so that services can get better for everyone.

There are three LINks in your county, one per local authority (with social services responsibilities). They are:

  • Bournemouth
  • Dorset
  • Poole

Tell your local LINk what matters to you so we can act on your concerns, ideas and suggestions. Please tell us about your experiences of: hospitals, sexual health, dentistry, mental health services, care in the home, maternity services, or any other health and social care services.
