The Board and Board meetings

The Trust Board comprises eight lay non-executive directors, including the Chairman, all of whom were appointed by the Secretary of State for their knowledge of the needs of the local community.

The Chief Executive, Director of Finance and Performance, Director of Public Health, Director of Professional Practice and Service Improvement and Director of Commissioning Development are Executive Directors of the Board. The Chairman of the Clinical Commissioning Group is also a member of the Trust Board.

The Board meets in public six times a year.  Meetings are held across the county, are open to people from the local community and are advertised in the local press. The public and staff are welcome to attend the public Board meetings.

Board meetings will be held in public on four occasions during 2012/13:

• 26 June 2012: 10.00 - 13.00 heald at Canford House
• 25 September 2012: 10.00 - 13.00 at Vespasian House
• 11 December 2012: 10.00 - 13.00 at Canford House
• 26 March 2013: 10.00 - 13.00 held at Vespasian House

The Annual General Meeting of NHS Dorset will take place on 24 July 2012 at Vespasian House, Bridport Road, Dorchester, Dorset, DT1 1TS commencing at 9.30am.
