Equality objectives 2012

The PCT is committed reducing health inequality and promoting equality for all its residents and staff. The development and delivery of equality objectives is key to this commitment to ensure that all stakeholders, including staff, know what outcomes the PCT is working to and what its priorities are.

Our equality objectives are as follows

  1. changes across services are informed by engagement of patients and local communities, and transitions are made smoothly
  2. patients' and carers' complaints about services, and subsequent claims for redress, should be handled respectfully and efficiently
  3. staff are free from abuse, harassment, bullying, violence from both patients and their relatives and colleagues with redress being open and fair for all
  4. boards and senior leaders conduct and plan their business so that equality is advanced, and good relations fostered, within their organisation and beyond

A full report outlining the detail behind these objectives and the grading applied to them from our staff and community engagement process is available on this page.
