Equality and diversity
Dorset Primary Care Trust is committed to promoting the health and well-being of people who use healthcare services, their carers and families.
We know that many people experience discrimination, social exclusion and harassment because of their gender, age, sexuality, race, belief or disability and we recognise our responsibility to achieve the highest standards in equality and inclusion, and to be a proactive agent for change.
We aim to cover this in our approach to equality and diversity, both for ourselves as employers and as a healthcare organisation leading local primary, secondary and community services.
The Trust has formed an Equality and Diversity Action Group Forum of senior managers consisting of partners and service users to oversee the implementation, monitoring and ongoing review of the scheme. It is a living document and, as such, the views of stakeholders and individuals are important and are welcomed.
