Emergency planning

The Emergency Planning Team is part of the Directorate of Public Health.

The team coordinates the planning and development of the Trust’s overall Emergency Response and Recovery Plan, but is also responsible for a range of specific response plans, such as the pandemic flu plan.

The team works closely with colleagues in all the other health organisations in Dorset, including South West Ambulance Service.

Through the Local Resilience Forum it also works with the emergency planning staff of other key organisations such as Dorset Police, Dorset Fire & Rescue Service and Dorset County Council.  Multi-agency plans are developed and are tested through regular exercises.
